CARIA. Antioch ad Maeandrum. Circa 90/89-65/60 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 16.03 g, 12 h), Hermogenes, magistrate. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. EPMOΓENHΣ - ANTIOXEΩN Eagle, wings closed, standing left on winged thunderbolt, being crowned with wreath by small Nike flying left and holding palm; all within maeander pattern. Thonemann Group B, 10, Type 2 (O11/-). Very rare and struck from a hitherto unpublished reverse die. Very fine.
